As a social epidemiologist, my goal is to help communities confront health inequities and push for a healthier, more just world. My research focuses on how social stratification and the places we live affect our health. I particularly work on housing insecurity, segregation, and police violence as public health problems.

I am currently an Assistant Professor in Health Management & Policy at Drexel University's Dornsife School of Public Health, with a secondary appointment in Nursing at Drexel's College of Nursing and Health Professions.

Ongoing work includes:
  • estimating the health effects of eviction, including infectious disease, hospitalization, & insurance coverage
  • evaluating local housing policies as public health interventions
  • leveraging natural experiments to study the effects of school and neighborhood segregation on long-term health
  • Mapping police violence
